Jeffrey Chu is an award-winning cinematographer and a member of the International Cinematographers Guild, IATSE Local 600. His work spans narrative features, documentary-style films, and commercials, with credits for Paramount Global/BET, Netflix, Amazon Prime, General Electric, General Motors, Nike, and Beats.
Beginning his career in photojournalism, Jeffrey developed a distinctive visual style shaped by both documentary realism and narrative storytelling. His breakthrough in international cinema came with Summer of Changsha, which premiered in the Un Certain Regard section at the 72nd Cannes Film Festival in 2019. With years of experience working between China and the U.S., Jeffrey brings a strong cross-cultural perspective and collaborative approach to every production.
